This year we had lots of visitors for Easter. Uncle Dave and Aunt Lauren came down from NY and Auntie Laura. We had lots of fun. Jack loved all the extra attention and couldn't get enough of playing with his aunts and uncle. Peter Cottontail hopped by with two little baskets for the boys. He filled them with lots of yummy treats, games, and books. He even left a helpful trail of marshmallows to lead Jack to his basket. After two hours of filling his face with candy, Jack was ready for church! Ahhh! So next year, I think I will be having a chat with Mr. Cottontail about his arrival and drop off schedule.
We enjoyed a delicious ham with family. Komo KeyYong joined us from South Riding and brought her dog Biscuit for a visit too. Everyone pitched in and helped make something. Auntie Laura made a yummy ham "glaze" and awesome chocolate-raspberry cupcakes. Uncle Dave worked his magic with a hollandaise sauce. Aunt Lauren used her creative skills to make napkin ring holders.
On Monday, we went to visit Aunt Shari in Linden, VA. She made a scrumptious asparagus soup. So fresh and yummy. We took a nice walk to her vineyard and had a very enjoyable day. I am so glad spring is finally here!
