A day at the beach

Cunningham Falls in Thurmont, MD is about 1 1/2 hours from our house. It has a great lake with a nice sandy beach. My cousin and I met there and had a great day. It was a little chiller than normal, but Jack was determined to swim. Even though the air was a bit crisp, the water was lukewarm and just right for swimming. Henry liked exploring in the sand more than the water. My cousins little boy R. had a great time too. They splashed and played for quite awhile. We had the whole beach front to ourselves for well over 30 minutes. By then both boys were a little blue lipped and needed to warm up. After a nice picnic, we spent time on the playground. The weather was perfect and we had a terrific visit with each other. We will be taking advantage of this nice beach a lot more next year.
