4 year old festivities

We had a family party for Jack this year. (I am hoping the "every other year big birthday party" idea sticks). We started the day with chocolate chip pancakes and opened a few presents (warm dinosaur pj's and dried pears from Grammy and lots of birthday cards from family and friends). Jack also got a very large carnivorous friend which immediately became a wrestling buddy. Great fun! Then off we went to Chuck E. Cheese. We had some other things planned, but the rain pushed us indoors. After a fun time using up all the tokens, we headed to lunch. Jack wanted Old McDonalds (chicken nuggets, ketchup, fries, apple slices, and juice), but Mom and Dad wanted Moby Dicks. So we got McD's to go and headed to Moby Dicks. Funny thing, Jack ended up eating Moby Dicks too. He really prefers that over McDonalds, but he just couldn't kick the happy meal addiction. After rest time, (yes, rest time even on your birthday!) we watched a movie (Jimmy Neutron, which is now his favorite) and got ready for dinner. We ordered pizza and began Jack's birthday bash. We dug into Jack's birthday cake and opened presents. His favorite would have to be his "new" Leapster. I'd have to say it was a very fun family day. Jack seemed really happy!
