Z is for zoo. National or Reston?

8-5-10
Funny story!  So we had planned to hit the National Zoo for the letter Z and thought it would be fun to go with friends.  We got our friends the Bennions and sweet little Addy C. to come with us.  On the way to the National Zoo downtown, Kari and I were bombarded with questions of "are we there yet?". (We hadn't even been in the car for 20 minutes yet!) So as we were passing Reston, VA, we decided we might not make it all the way to DC and that we should make it a Reston Zoo day.  (How convenient that Reston has a little zoo to satisfy our animal viewing needs for the day!)

The kids enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep in the barn.

Addy and Jack were very interested in the alligators.

While we were waiting for the safari wagon ride, the local birds took off with our snacks and left us lots of "presents" all over our strollers!

It was a fun filled day.  So glad we decided to make it a Reston stop!
