While Uncle Jacob and Uncle Christian were visiting, we took the opportunity to visit with Aunt Shari in Linden, VA. She was sweet enough to show us around the Avenius Vineyard and then we got a special treat to see how the grapes are processed at Linden Vineyards. It's always a fun treat to visit with Aunt Shari in such a pretty part of the Virginia!
The next day, we took a trip downtown to DC. We decided to go to the National Geographic Museum. None of us had been before so it was nice to have a new experience for all of us. (The boys always want to go the National History Museum, which is great, but we have been 3 times so far and I need a break!) The museum had amazing photographs and a great exhibit with tons of interesting facts. Jack and Henry were excited about the 3D show about flying monsters. It turned out to be pretty neat, all about the evolution of pterosaurs. Everybody had a good time!
