New Year's Eve we made fondue and tried really hard to stay up to midnight! (Okay, maybe not that hard!) The cheese and chocolate fondue was a big hit as usual. We watched some movies until 10 pm and then called it a night! We all listened to fireworks going off around us as we drifted into sleep! Happy New Year!
On New Year's Day, we invited our friends the Platts over for dinner. We enjoyed some burgers and hot dogs (not really new years food, but tasty) and some black eye pea salad. Black eye peas are to bring luck for the upcoming year! The kids had a blast with the poppers (that didn't really pop),crowns, party blowers, and the ring pops to "ring" in the new year! We toasted with our traditional Martinelli apple cider and enjoyed the first day of the new year!
