Henry 5 months
I can't believe Henry is already five months old. It is great he is growing so well, but sad too because he is totally no longer my little newborn baby. He is filling up his car seat and barely can be changed on my lap. He is rolling over and starting to push off with his toes. Henry loves to play with his hands and grab his toes now too. He is an expert at the "happy baby" yoga position.
Henry loves to look around and be part of whatever is going on around him, especially if it has something to do with his brother Jack. He still watches him like a hawk. He loves to giggle at Jack in the car during car trips. Jack will cross his eyes at Henry and they both start to laugh out loud. It is so cute!
Henry started out as a pacifier kid and now is a thumb sucker too. He still will take a pacifier, but can get himself quiet with his thumb too. Henry constantly plays with his pacifier. He pulls it out, turns it to the side, chomps on it for awhile, and then turns it around and puts it back in. It is so funny to watch. He has great small motor skills!
Henry's eyes are still blue, but may have a little green peaking through. I still think he will be a blue eye, light brown hair boy. He often has a startled look with his big blues!
Henry is a very good napper. When he starts to get sleepy, I can lay him down and he goes to sleep on his own....most of the time. He actually prefers to be left alone to sleep. He will nap in the car seat, sling, and ergo pack which is convenient too.
Henry loves his bath time still and is now bathing in our little blue tub. I think it might be time to switch him out because he kicks so much that the water splashes out all the time. I am usually soaking wet by the time bath time is over.
Henry loves taking walks outside. He enjoys the fresh air and looking at all the birds and cars. Last week, I took the boys to the lake near our house for a picnic lunch. They both loved laying on their backs and looking up at the trees. It was so peaceful and calm, just like Henry's personality. It was such a nice day and very nostalgic for me.
