We have snow, lots of snow. It has been snowing since....forever. The first signs of snow started on Jan. 30th, during Henry's birthday party. It has been snowing ever since (with a few reprieves...very few)! We have been home bound for the last week or so. At first, it was fun and Jack loved playing outside with his friends. But as we come to day ???? of Blizzard 2010, we are all feeling a bit cabin fever.
While inside we have been trying to keep busy. Since all my days have been running together, I don't know which day we did what, but will have to recap with a list.
- shoveled the driveway with Kris (lots of shoveling, mostly by Kris)
- saved Jack from snow up to his waist
- made lots of yummy food (orange rolls, muffins, wheat bread, and cookies)
- actually did some cleaning
- tried to get the snow off our Direct TV dish (method one: poles attached with duck tape, method two: throwing snow balls at it)
- praying we wouldn't lose power...and we haven't so far
- watching the snow plows go around our neighborhood
- watching lots of shows and movies
- tried to start some sewing projects...hasn't happened yet, but I am still hopeful
- watched Henry practice more walking
- watching the wind blow the snow over the frozen tundra and feeling like I live in Finland and should be seeing caribou running by
- thankful to be with my family, all safe and sound
