Earlier in the week, Jack had a Halloween party at school. He had two costumes he was deciding between (Superman and Commander Fox from Star Wars Clone Wars). He finally decided on Commander Fox. The kids had fun parading around the gym to show off their outfits and then they went back to the classroom for some fun treats and games. The kids mummied their teachers at the end. One little girl got upset because she thought we were really going to make them into mummies.
Our family also made a stop at our church Halloween party. Henry wore his monkey outfit, which at first we thought might stay on for the whole night. Henry soon learned that it was velcro and had it off pretty quickly.
On Halloween, we headed to the Cowley's house for dinner and trick or treating. It was super fun to do it with friends this year. Jack wore the Commander Fox costume and Henry wore a zebra costume this time. We decided the monkey costume might be a bit too small. By the end of the night, he was in his shirt and diaper (he kind of reminded us of Tom Cruise in Risky Business). Kris came up with a creative pirate pig get-up to go right along with Corbin's "nacho libro" mask. Hilarious!
The guys took the kids around the neighborhood and boy did they hit the jackpot. These kids came back loaded. Huge candy bars and tons of it! I think this might be our new tradition!
Just for fun:
Same shirt, different boy!
