May

May was a very full month. There was Mother's Day, a visit from Harabogee, Gramma, Komo Keyin, and Madison, trips to Frying Pan Farm, and t-ball and swim lessons!

We started the month with Jack taking t-ball and swimming lessons. He loves swimming and seemed to enjoy t-ball. He did mention t-ball was not as exciting as soccer. There is a bit more standing around.






Then Mother's Day came and the boys treated me to a great breakfast. Kris made the most yummy hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries. That guy has many hidden talents!


We had a great visit with Harabogee, Gramma, Komo Keyin, and Madison. The boys loved being spoiled and getting lots of attention from their grandparents. Harabogee took them fishing, to Chuck -E- Cheese, and Jumping Jack Sports. They loved having Madison around to play with too! Gramma taught them lots of games on her phone. My phone isn't as much fun, so that is a real treat!

At the end of the month, we took a day trip to Frying Pan Farm with Addy, Asa, and Aunt Megan. The kids had a blast running around and looking at all the animals. Henry learned that you should listen to your mom when she says to keep your fingers out of the cage. The turkey sure likes Henry fingers! Poor kid, but he's not likely to stick his finger in a cage any time soon!

As a special treat one afternoon in May, we went to Gruto's (a seasonal ice cream place in Purcellville). Our neighbor Lily and Jack have been talking about going and we finally did. The boys like ice cream, but usually don't finish it all. Jack really just likes the sprinkles and ice cream cone. Both of them had to learn to lick the sides of the cone before the ice cream melted all down their hands. They will need more practice with this!


This is a picture of part of the giant full rainbow that appeared over our house after a rain storm. I wish I could have capture the entire bow. I have never seen one as large as this one. It reminded me of a picture my dad took of a rainbow during a summer vacation on Block Island.
