Many of you will remember that when Jack was 5 he broke both his arms within 2 months. Well, it's Henry's turn. Yesterday Henry and Jack were engaged in one of their afternoon wrestling matches. Jack was laying on the ground and Henry decided to jump over him. Jack put his legs up to protect himself and Henry came tumbling down. He cried and said his arm hurt. Kris and I went into "broken arm mode". We checked if he could move his fingers, elbow, etc. He seemed fine other than upset and maybe sore. We iced it and he fell asleep on the couch. When he woke up, he was still complaining about his arm. Just to be sure, we took him to Patient First and sure enough after a bunch of x-rays, he had a fracture in his forearm.
Today we took him to our favorite orthopedist, Dr. Gavin and he got his green cast. He was so excited and proud to show it off. He was such a great patient. Compared to our last visit to Dr. Gavin's for broken arms, this was a cinch. No tears, just complained it was taking too long! Love our little Hens!
