Jack turned 7!

Jack turned 7 on Oct. 17th.  We had a nice family dinner at Ruby Tuesday's (Jack's pick) and then came home for some cake that the missionaries had dropped off earlier that day.  His really party was Saturday Oct. 20th.  This year he wanted a Harry Potter themed party.  It was really fun putting it all together.  He invited his closest friends, Ian, Asher, Garrett, and Ethan P (who couldn't make it).  They all started at platform 9 3/4 and started their adventures at Gringotts Bank.

They got their gold coins that they would use to purchase things in Diagon Alley.

They marched into Ollivander's to purchase their wands.  Later they decorated them adding a Phoenix feather.

They emptied Honeydukes Sweet Shop of all the chocolate frogs and jelly beans.

Then they purchased their brooms and capes from Madam Malkin's Robes.

Finally, they arrived at the Great Hall for their birthday lunch and to be sorted into their houses by the Sorting Hat.  They all became the newest members of the house of Gryffindor!

Then it was off to Potions Class where they made powder turn to snow and then used an exploding charm to make soda explode out of its bottle.

Finally, the quidditch match.  The boys had to stay on their brooms as they passed the golden ball around and finally score into the hoop.

After the game, a package arrived from Hagrid.  It was Jack's birthday cake!

The boys had a great time and  it was fun to see Jack enjoying himself with his friends.  We still can't believe how big he is getting and how fast time really does fly!
Happy Birthday Jack! We love you!

I love that Jack is into Harry Potter! Looks like Mom worked hard to throw a really cool birthday party. :)
